The Showdown - to be called The Crypto.com Showdown for sponsorship purposes - is a new golf event in which four of the world's best players will face off in Las Vegas.
Produced by TNT Sports, this event will be similar to the company's The Match series, where professional golfers and/or celebrities hit the course and often play under non-traditional rules with prize money at stake.
In The Showdown, four top golfers - PGA Tour golfers Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler and LIV Golf players Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau - will face off in Vegas with personal pride, tour bragging rights and reportedly around $10 million of cryptocurrency in prize money on the line.
The Showdown will be broadcast on TNT, TBS and TruTV, all of which can be viewed through cable TV or streamed with live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or Hulu with Live TV.
Streaming will also be available through B/R Sports on the streaming service MAX.
The Showdown is scheduled to tee off at 6 PM ET/5 PM CT/3 PM PT on Tuesday, December 17 with the event taking place at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Showdown will take place over one round of golf with three different rule sets being used over six holes each in the round.
The first six holes will be played under best ball rules. That means all four players play their own ball, and the lower score between each team's two players will count for the team's score for each of the first six holes.
The middle six holes will be played under alternate shot rules, where teams switch off who hits the ball with each shot.
The final six holes will be played under singles rules.
