The No. 23 Ole Miss Rebels (15-5, 4-3 SEC), who have lingered on the fringes of the top-25 in recent weeks, will look to shake off a three-game losing streak when hosting the Texas Longhorns (14-6, 3-4 SEC) on Wednesday.
Like most SEC teams, Ole Miss and Texas have not been able to string together consistent results in conference play. The SEC is by far the toughest conference this season, as 10 of its teams are ranked, making in-conference clashes all the more crucial.
Ole Miss has lost to then-No. 15 Mississippi State in overtime, then-No. 13 Texas A&M, and then-No. 22 Missouri in its last three games. Its last success was impressive: A 10-point win at then-No. 4 Alabama two weeks ago.
Texas, meanwhile, is on a two-game winning streak with both victories coming against ranked opponents in Missouri and Texas A&M. Their last loss was at No. 5 Florida, and earlier this month, the Longhorns had a three-game losing streak of their own against A&M, then-No. 2 Auburn, and then-No. 1 Tennessee.
Texas vs. Ole Miss will be broadcast on ESPN2, which is available through cable TV and can be streamed via live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or FuboTV.
Texas vs. Ole Miss is scheduled to start at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT/6 PM PT on Wednesday, January 29th from the Sandy and John Black Pavilion in Oxford, Mississippi.
