2025 Wimbledon: Women’s Singles: Picks, Predictions and Odds

The third Grand Slam on the annual tennis calendar is the most historic. It’s Wimbledon, and it begins on Monday at the All-England Club in London. On the women’s side, Aryna Sabalenka is a considerable favorite ahead of Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff.

At last year’s Championships, Barbora Krejcikova was ranked No. 32 in the world when she went all the way to the title. Krejcikova’s run came 12 months after Marketa Vondrousova lifted the trophy in London at No. 42 in the rankings. Is yet another surprise in the cards, or will one of the favorites restore order to the proceedings?

Sabalenka is No. 1 in the world by a country mile, but she has not yet captured a major title in 2025 and has never won Wimbledon, and although Rybakina is a former champion at the All-England Club (2022), she has struggled throughout this season.

Gauff is coming off a French Open triumph, but she has not fared as well on grass as she has on clay and hard courts. Vondrousova, Iga Swiatek, Mirra Andreeva, Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula could be poised to pounce if the favorites falter.

Let’s break down the best bets to make along with some of the odds for the upcoming fortnight.

Wimbledon betting picks and predictions

Iga Swiatek to win (+700)

There is no way to sugarcoat it – grass is Swiatek’s worst surface. The 24-year-old is a four-time champion on the red clay of Roland Garros and she won the U.S. Open in 2022 (hard). However, she has never been past the quarterfinals at Wimbledon and she has never won any grass-court tournament.

All of that being said, getting Swiatek all the way at +700 odds is a borderline unprecedented situation – and it’s an opportunity that should not be missed.

Regardless of what her No. 8 ranking suggests, the Pole is without question one of the best players on tour. She also reached the final of this past week’s grass-court event in Bad Homburg, so confidence has to be relatively high heading to London.

Swiatek’s draw is not an ideal one with Gauff and Rybakina in her section, but the good news is that she would avoid Sabalenka at least until the final.

Madison Keys to win (+1600)

Keys has been an all-or-nothing kind of player throughout her career, and we have really seen that on display the last two seasons. In 2024 she did not reach a single Grand Slam quarterfinal. So far this year she boasts a title at the Australian Open and a quarterfinal performance at Roland Garros.

Keys can be a risky play in any single match given her volatility, but she often has great value on the outright market. This Wimbledon is no exception.

Keys’ wields one of the biggest serves on the WTA Tour, and flat, powerful groundstrokes also make her game extremely effective on grass. The sixth-ranked American is a two-time Wimbledon quarterfinalist, most recently advancing that far in 2023.

Although Keys is in a quarter of the bracket with Sabalenka and Vondrousova, it should be noted that those two players may go head-to-head in the third round; one of them is guaranteed to be gone in the first week. That would help open the door for Keys.

Jessica Pegula to win (+1800)

It is true that Sabalenka, Rybakina and Gauff are formidable, but there is no dominant force in the women’s game along the line of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner on the men’s side. As such, the women’s Wimbledon trophy should be relatively up for grabs. That means there are plenty of potential longshots at which you should look.

Pegula is an intriguing option. The American comes in at No. 3 in the world and is coming off a title on the lawn of Bad Homburg, where she defeated Swiatek in the final on Saturday. Pegula finished runner-up at the 2024 U.S. Open and has reached six other Grand Slam quarterfinals – including at the All-England Club in 2023. It feels like she is due for a slam title.

The 31-year-old has a decent enough draw, too. She would not meet Gauff, Rybakina, or Swiatek until the semis and Sabalenka until the final.
