2025 Wimbledon Men's Singles: Picks, Predictions and Odds

Wimbledon begins on Monday at the All-England Club in London and in the men's draw world No.1 Jannik Sinner and two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz are the heavy favorites.

Two of the four Grand Slams in the 2025 tennis season have already come and gone, with Sinner (Australian Open) and Alcaraz (French Open) splitting the two titles.

In fact, they have shared the last six slam victories dating back to the start of the 2024 campaign. Unsurprisingly, they are significant favorites for the upcoming festivities at Wimbledon.

Still, the chief challengers to the world’s top two players cannot be discounted. Novak Djokovic is a 24-time major champion, with seven of those titles coming at the All-England Club.

Great Britain’s own Jack Draper is firmly on the rise, up to No.4 in the rankings, while Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz could also be in the mix.

The problem for Draper, however, is that the draw was not kind. He could go up against a red-hot Alexander Bublik in the third round and he is on a collision course with Djokovic for the quarterfinals. That is without question the toughest quarter of the bracket.

With competition getting underway at the All-England Club on Monday, let’s break down the best bets to make along with some of the odds.

Wimbledon betting picks and predictions

Jannik Sinner to win (+200)

Sinner and Alcaraz faced each other in an absolutely epic French Open final less than a month ago. The top-seeded Italian led two sets to love and came within one point of victory in the fourth set, but Alcaraz stormed back to triumph in a fifth-set tiebreaker.

Although the Spaniard is the two-time defending champion at Wimbledon, there is no reason why Sinner can’t get revenge should they have a rematch on championship Sunday.

As good as Alcaraz is on grass, he is not as dominant on this surface as he is on clay. There could be opportunities for Sinner and others to take him down.

With considerably longer odds than his arch rival, Sinner has very good value. The world No.1 has captured all three of his major titles on hard courts, so he is excellent in fast conditions.

He pushed Djokovic to five sets at Wimbledon in 2022 and was a semifinalist in 2023, so don’t be surprised if this new and improved version of Sinner goes all the way in 2025.

Taylor Fritz to win (+5000)

Fritz has won multiple grass-court titles at the ATP 250 level during his career, establishing himself as one of the best players in the world on this surface.

Even more impressive is that he has reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals twice in his last three trips to London.

There is even more to like about Fritz’s chances following Friday's draw ceremony. The fifth-ranked American finds himself in Zverev’s quarter of the bracket, which is definitely the softest of the four.

It means that Fritz will avoid Sinner and Djokovic at least until the final and he would not run into Alcaraz until the semis.

If he faces Zverev in the quarters, he would be extremely confident. Fritz has defeated the German five straight times, including at Wimbledon last summer and in the Stuttgart title match earlier this month.

Keep in mind that Fritz was runner-up to Sinner at the 2024 U.S. Open, so the 27-year-old knows how to get the job done on the big stage.

Jakub Mensik to win (+10000)

Although Sinner and Alcaraz seem to have a monopoly on major titles right now, it’s not a bad idea to take a flier on a longshot. Especially on grass, margins in matches can be very small.

Service breaks are difficult to come by and tiebreakers are plentiful - matches are simply a lot closer for the most part than they are on other surfaces. Upsets abound.

If there is to be a shock at the All-England Club, it could be engineered by Czech Jakub Mensik.

The 19-year-old has already triumphed at the second-highest level in tennis, beating Djokovic to win the Masters 1000 tournament in Miami a few months ago.

Armed with a massive serve and flat groundstrokes, Mensik’s game should work perfectly on grass.
