The No. 8 Florida Gators (13-1, 0-1 SEC) recently suffered their first loss of the season, and things don't get easier when they host the No. 1 Tennessee Volunteers (14-0, 1-0 SEC) on Tuesday.
The SEC has emerged as by far the best conference in the 2024/25 season, and this game features two of its 10 ranked teams.
Florida's recent loss was on the road against the No. 10 Kentucky Wildcats by a 106-100 score. That was the Gators' first game against a ranked team, but they've beaten storied programs such as Virginia and North Carolina this season.
The Vols have been dominant all season. This is their third matchup against a ranked opponent in 2024/25, having beaten then-No. 13 Baylor by 15 in late November and then-No. 23 Arkansas by 24 this past weekend.
Tennessee vs. Florida will be broadcast on ESPN2, which can be viewed through cable TV or streamed via live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or FuboTV.
Tennessee vs. Florida is scheduled to tip off at 7 PM ET/6 PM CT on Tuesday, January 7th from Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida.
