Co-trainer J D Hayes has announced that the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap could be the next big target for recent Doncaster Handicap winner Mr Brightside.
Hayes admitted that the Lindsay Park team were weighing up options for the Group 1-winning son of Bullbars, who is 10/1 for the Stradbroke on June 11th.
Mr Brightside has developed into one of racing's biggest improvers, arriving at Lindsay Park just a year ago after a fifth place in a Matamata maiden before then putting together six straight wins in Victoria.

A fourth place in the Group 1 Cantala Stakes at Flemington last spring was followed by another fourth in the All-Star Mile before his career-best success in the Doncaster.
"We are weighing-up the options with the Stradbroke a chance on the 11th June," Hayes, who trains in partnership with brother Ben, told Racing.com.
"But we might decide against it and set him for a big spring because he could end up in Hong Kong in December for the International meeting."
He added: "Whether we winter him up there (Queensland) or put him in the paddock and build him up from the bottom again at Euroa and hit the reset button, we've just got to work through that.
"He's picked up $2.2 million this prep and he's gone, in a relatively short time, from a maiden to a Group 1 so he's a horse that deserves to get his head down in a paddock and have a careful plan put up for him. I think whatever we point him at he'll do well."
