LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is hoping to break new ground in his career by helping his side see off the San Francisco 49ers in their final regular season game.
The 33-year-old former Detroit Lions playmaker is hoping to help the Rams clinch the NFC West title, with the LA outfit priced at 17/4 to go on and secure the NFC Championship.
And Stafford is wary of thinking too far ahead, with the Rams having an opportunity to make sure of second seed in the NFC play-off rankings.
On the other hand, a loss to the 49ers could see them drop into the wildcard selection, should the Arizona Cardinals see off the Seattle Seahawks.
He told the Daily Breeze: "We get to do it on our terms. If we win the game, we win the division. That's one of those things that's a rare opportunity to get.
"I think 11 wins was the most I ever had as a quarterback. To be able to get to 12-4 through 16 - which is a traditional season - feels good.
"But there's plenty of work yet to do. We're proud of where we're sitting right now, but we know there's a bigger goal in mind."
With a play-off spot guaranteed already, Stafford will definitely get the opportunity to secure a first-ever post-season victory, having failed to do so during his time with the Lions.
And the Rams are set to be boosted by running back Cam Akers being available to make his first appearance of the season after a serious Achilles injury, although safety Nick Scott is a major doubt due to a fractured thumb.
