The Final Four in women's March Madness consists of three No. 1 seeds, and two of them face off when the reigning National Champion South Carolina Gamecocks meet the Texas Longhorns.
South Carolina, led by head coach Dawn Staley, kept most of its title-winning team together from last season. Chloe Kitts and Te-Hina Paopao have stepped into larger roles, and Joyce Edwards and MiLaysia Fulwiley lead the team in scoring despite coming off the bench.
Texas lost in last year's Elite Eight, but a healthy Rori Harmon and the addition of 6-foot-6 forward Kyla Oldacre have greatly improved the team. Nine players average at least five points per game, and no team is better at getting to the free-throw line.
These teams met twice in the regular season and in the SEC Tournament Championship game. South Carolina went 2-1 in those games, winning at home 67-50 in mid-January, losing 66-62 on the road in February, and most recently winning 64-45 at a neutral site in the conference title game.
South Carolina vs. Texas will be broadcast on ESPN, available via cable TV and live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV and FuboTV.
South Carolina vs. Texas is scheduled to tip off at 7 PM ET/6 PM CT/4 PM PT on Friday, April 4th from Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
