Having earned a 2-0 win over Brazil Women last week, United States Women will be hoping to complete a double against the South American giants when they meet at PayPal Park on Tuesday night.
The US responded well from their shock defeat at the hands of Japan to earn what proved to be a comfortable win over the Brazilians at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
It was the hosts that came out of the blocks the quicker of the two teams, with Trinity Rodman scoring the opening goal after just five minutes of the international friendly.
Despite a number of chances, the Stars and Stripes led by just 1-0 at the break, but Lindsey Heaps put the result beyond doubt when converting a penalty kick in the 66th minute.
Buoyed by that result in Inglewood, head coach Emma Hayes will next take her side to San Jose for another showdown with Brazil at PayPal Park.
Following that success in Inglewood, the USWNT are now on a nine-game winning streak against Brazil, with the last time the Stars and Stripes failed to win in this matchup coming back in October 2015 in a 1-1 draw.
The US dominated much of the contest at the weekend, having 12 shots on target to Brazil’s six and enjoying 55% possession at SoFi Stadium.
There will be areas Hayes will look to build on, but the English coach will have certainly been pleased by how her defence kept Brazil at bay over the course of the 90 minutes.
Brazil have now failed to score in any of their last three encounters with the US and it would be little surprise to see that trend continue in San Jose on Tuesday night.
The US led after just five minutes of Saturday's contest and they could repeat that trick on Tuesday to ensure they are leading this match at both half-time and full-time.
While a 1-0 scoreline was a theme in the two previous meetings between the US and Brazil before that last encounter in Inglewood, the hosts broke that run with their 2-0 success at the weekend.
There will be value in seeing history repeat itself and the same scoreline occurring in San Jose this week.
The US have already shown they have the defensive strength to keep Brazil off the board, while 12 shots on target in that last game tells its own story with how effective the US are going forward.
Another early goal for the Stars and Stripes could well see Brazilian heads drop and a 2-0 victory from the US would not be too much of a surprise for this game at the home of San Jose Earthquakes.
