Real Madrid made a slow start to their Club World Cup campaign but they look to be building up a head of steam and they will fancy their chances of further progress in the summer extravaganza.
A draw and two wins eased Xabi Alonso's side into the last 16 where they take on a Juventus team who have also had mixed fortunes in the USA.
Juve opened up with two impressive victories but they were hammered last time out by Manchester City so a lively encounter is expected at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida.
Juventus won 3-1 when these two last met in the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League campaign, and another high-scoring affair can be expected with Real Madrid fancied to turn the tables.
The La Liga giants opened their Club World Cup bid with a weary 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal, but they stepped it up a gear on matchday two when they thumped Mexican outfit Pachuca 3-1, and there was more to come in their final group outing when they eased past Salzburg with a 3-0 victory.
Real have grown into the tournament but a slow start can be excused as they have had to adapt to new manager Alonso's methods while coming to terms with the demanding weather conditions.
Kylian Mbappe's acute gastroenteritis on the eve of the tournament didn't help matters but Los Blancos look to be hitting their stride at the right time.
Juve's results have also been mixed but they made a fast start in the USA with a thumping 5-0 win in their opener against Al Ain, quickly followed by a comprehensive 4-1 drubbing of Wydad AC.
However, when stepped up in class last time out against Manchester City, the Old Lady were found wanting and stumbled into the knockout stages on the back of a 5-2 pasting from the Premier League outfit.
City have since been knocked out by Al-Hilal, so these two will both fancy their chances of glory in this event.
However, Real remain the much stronger outfit and they are fancied to win a contest in which both teams score.
Both teams have scored in four of these sides’ six combined matches this tournament, while both teams have got on the scoresheet in six of the last seven meetings between these two European giants.
While both teams should get on the scoresheet in Florida, it may also pay to back Real Madrid running out as 3-1 winners.
Los Blancos have scored exactly three goals in each of their last two outings at the Club World Cup, while Juve are conceding at a rate of two goals per game in the United States.
Meetings between these two have often been lively and this latest clash should be no different.
Madrid have a wealth of talent in attack, and although Mbappe is unlikely to feature once again, there are plenty capable of filling the void and helping the La Liga giants get on the scoresheet at least three times.
Vinicius Junior has scored just once at this Club World Cup but the Brazilian is fancied to at least double his tally at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Vinicius opened the scoring after 40 minutes during Madrid's 3-0 win over Salzburg in their final group fixture and he has been slightly subdued by his standards at this event.
However, he is one who looks to be needing extra time to adjust to Alonso's tweaking of formations but Vinicius looked more like his old self against the Austrians when paired up front with young starlet, Gonzalo Garcia.
Vinicius made it count with a well-taken strike and he can at the very least double his tally in a victory over Juventus.
