Two European heavyweights lock horns in the third Club World Cup quarter-final as French champions Paris Saint-Germain face Bayern Munich at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Arena.
This is a repeat of the 2020 UEFA Champions League final, which Bayern would win 1-0, but this time it's PSG who are favorites in their attempt to reach the Club World Cup semi-finals.
European champions PSG have had a superb season, winning the French Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France before their dominant 5-0 UEFA Champions League final victory over Inter Milan and now they're favorites to advance to the Club World Cup semi-finals at Bayern's expense.
With a top-class goalkeeper, a solid back four, a hard-working midfield three and a dynamic attack, PSG have proven themselves as the best team in Europe this year.
Add in the fact that Luis Enrique now has the option to start Ousmane Dembele after the France forward returned from off the bench against Inter Miami.
The Parisians did, however, show vulnerability in the group stage, losing out to Brazilian side Botafogo, with only goal-difference separating them from third-placed Atletico Madrid.
They didn't need to get out of first gear in a 4-0 round-of-16 win over Miami, but Lionel Messi and co. have not had a great MLS season and time is undoubtedly catching up to the Argentinian maestro, as well as a number of his team-mates who followed him to South Florida.
Bayern will present PSG with a much tougher test and, at the available odds, look worth a wager.
Vincent Kompany's men could only finish second in Group C, but they had already wrapped up a spot in the knockout stages when losing 1-0 to Benfica in the final round of group action.
They then bounced back to top form with a 4-2 win over Flamengo in the round of 16.
The men from Munich have top-class pedigree in knockout competitions and they could also have Jamal Musiala back in the line-up, which would give them a boost in attacking areas.
While PSG are the likelier winners, they have had a particularly long season thanks to their exploits in all competitions, and that could finally catch up with them here.
If Bayern are to progress to the semi-finals, it's likely to be because Harry Kane has had a significant say in the outcome and the England captain could be the man to open the scoring in Atlanta.
Kane struck 26 goals in the Bundesliga this season, as well as 11 in the UEFA Champions League, so it came as a huge surprise when he was unable to find the net in the 10-0 rout of Kiwi minnows Auckland.
However, he scored the opening goal in the Bavarians' 2-1 win over Boca Juniors, then, after only playing 45 minutes from off the bench against Benfica, he twice found the net in the triumph over Flamengo - the first counting for first goalscorer bettors as Bayern's opener was an own goal.
PSG's tricky forward line will cause problems for any backline and, with Bayern missing a couple of key pieces at the back, the pressure is on right-back Konrad Laimer, who is tasked with marking Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Laimer was booked eight times in the 2024/25 Bundesliga, despite not being a regular starter over the full campaign, while he's averaged two fouls per match from three appearances in this competition.
