The 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup has reached the quarterfinal stage and Panama and Honduras will do battle for a place in the semifinals on Saturday.

The two national teams will head to the State Farm Stadium in Arizona, and it is Thomas Christiansen's Panama that is expected to come out on top.

Honduras finished second in Group B, behind Canada. However, Panama won all three of their Group C matches, finishing above Guatemala, Jamaica, and Guadeloupe.

Christiansen has got his team playing with confidence as they prepare to compete in the quarter-finals this weekend.

Panama is the competition's top scorer, having netted 10 goals in their three group games. The Canal Men hammered Guadeloupe 5-2 in their opening match before narrowly beating Guatemala 1-0.

They ended their Group C campaign with a convincing 4-1 success over Jamaica and they will have every faith they can continue this winning run.

Honduras finished four points above Curacao in Group B to book their spot in the last eight, but they were hammered 5-0 by Canada in their opening match.

Reinaldo Rueda's side was outclassed by the best team in the group and there is every chance they will come up short this week against Christiansen's attacking team.

Universidad Catolica winger Ismael Diaz has taken on that role for Panama and he is the top scorer in the competition.

He has five goals to his name from three games, including a hat-trick against Jamaica last time out.

Diaz has taken the joint-most shots with 10 and registered the most shots on target after the group stages, hitting the target on six occasions.

He is the leading man in Panama's team and his recent scoring record cannot be ignored against a Honduras defense that has been outclassed already this summer by Canada.
