The two big-hitters in Group D at the FIFA Club World Cup meet at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Friday as Chelsea and Flamengo go head to head.
Both won their opening group games 2-0, so victory in Philly will go a long way to securing top spot in the section and a potentially more favorable path through the knockout stages.
The amount of empty seats rather than Chelsea's performance was the big talking point from the Blues' 2-0 success over Los Angeles FC on Monday.
Just over 22,000 spectators saw Enzo Maresca's side make hard work of beating the MLS outfit in Atlanta and it could be that the Blues are showing the effects of a long season.
The Conference League winners are favorites to take control of Group D with victory over Flamengo but they cannot afford to be as labored against the Brazilians as they were in their opener.
Flamengo didn't set pulses racing in their 2-0 win over Esperance de Tunis but they are in excellent form, losing only one of their last 16 matches in all competitions and are top of the Brazilian Serie A after 11 games.
European sides were expected to dominate at the Club World Cup, but the South American contingent went through the first week unbeaten. Flamengo only need to look to compatriots Botafogo, who beat European champions Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday, for inspiration.
Felipe Luis's side are in great form and have a real chance of causing a shock in Philadelphia.
Uruguay international Giorgian de Arrascaeta got the ball rolling for Flamengo against Esperance de Tunis and the 31-year-old looks a big threat to Chelsea's defense.
De Arrascaeta has scored nine times in as many appearances in this year's Brazilian top flight and will look to exploit any space left by opposing right-back Reece James, who rarely needs a second opportunity to get forward.
Chelsea will need to be wary of De Arrascaeta's significant threat and the Uruguayan's pace and skill mark him out as Flamengo's most pertinent attacking player.
Chelsea fans are well aware of the qualities of Flamengo midfielder Jorginho, who won the UEFA Champions League and Europa League during a four-and-a-half-season stay at Stamford Bridge.
The Brazilian veteran finished as Premier League runner-up with Arsenal last season and returned to his homeland with Flamengo earlier this month in time for the Club World Cup.
The midfield battle will be key against Chelsea on Friday and Jorginho will be tasked with keeping a close eye on two of Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia in the engine room.
The Blues trio aren't afraid to get stuck in and Jorginho will also need to do likewise if Flamengo are to gain the upper hand in the middle of the park.
That increases the likelihood of a booking for the Brazilian and odds of +275 look fair enough.
