Denmark vs. England: Picks, Predictions, Odds and Player Props

England made a solid if unspectacular start at the Euros with a 1-0 win and will be hoping for another three points when they face old rivals Denmark in Frankfurt.

Matchwinner Jude Bellingham was the bright spark in an otherwise forgettable England performance against Serbia and the Three Lions will want to improve on that against the Danes in Frankfurt.

Pre-tournament favorites England were unconvincing for long spells in Sunday's game, but the same can certainly be said of Denmark after their opening game against Slovenia ended 1-1.

These nations clashed in the semifinals at Euro 2020, with England winning after extra-time. Traditionally, it's a fixture the Three Lions have dominated, losing only four of 22 previously.

Denmark vs. England betting picks and predictions

England to win and under 2.5 goals (+240)

Considering that both England and Denmark scored within 20 minutes in their Group C openers against Serbia and Slovenia respectively, it was a little disappointing neither side could truly kick on.

England held Serbia at bay fairly comfortably, but it was an underwhelming opener for a team expected to go far in the tournament.

Denmark similarly appeared to be doing enough against Slovenia but a deflected shot from Erik Janza flew past Kasper Schmeichel into the net and, thus, left the Danes with only a point.

The last four games between England and Denmark have failed to produce more than two goals in 90 minutes.

The 1-1 draw at Wembley in their Euro 2020 semifinal three years ago was, in fact, an exception as three previous clashes resulted in a 1-0 win each, and the teams played to a scoreless draw in a 2020 Nations League game.

This is probably going to be another cagey affair, and one goal might be enough to steal it.

England have the superior attacking quality in their ranks and if they can get the lead, the Three Lions may revert to type and settle for stifling the opposition.

Christian Eriksen shots on target over 1.5 (+1000)

Playmaker Christian Eriksen has 42 goals for his country and will be expected to carry the responsibility for their hopes of opening up England in Frankfurt.

The Manchester United ace was on hand to get the opener against Slovenia in Stuttgart on Saturday with a typically cool and controlled finish.

Though England can likely dominate the ball, Denmark should see enough to be a threat and to work their way into plenty of promising positions - as Serbia did with 47 percent possession in their opener against Gareth Southgate's team.

The Serbs managed just one shot on target and Denmark should beat that. Eriksen is the dead-ball specialist for the Danes, so anything within range he is likely to have a go.

The midfielder is also lethal from range in open play and will be happy to try his luck if he collects the ball in the pockets of space within 30 yards of Jordan Pickford's goal.

Eriksen offers decent value at +1000 to force the England netminder into a couple of saves.

Over 3.5 Denmark corners (+110)

England managed just a single corner in the win over Serbia on Sunday, so a conservative approach to such markets in this game is probably best. The combined over/under market is set at eight.

More appealing is Denmark's team corners line at Over 3.5. Kasper Hjulmand's side had nine against Slovenia, albeit in a contest where they had the bulk of the possession.

Previous to that they had four against Norway, 12 against Sweden and eight against the Faroe Islands.

In the 2022 World Cup in Qatar their group stages games yielded 11, four and six despite failing to win a match - with the four coming against eventual runners-up France.

They also took five in that Wembley Euro 2020 semifinal with England and the Danes can get past their line of 3.5 corners in Frankfurt.
