Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani has battled through a shoulder injury in the World Series, and while he has been outshined in the race for World Series MVP by one of his teammates, he is a vital part of the Dodgers hopes for beating the New York Yankees.
The Dodgers are up 3-1 in the series are a win away from lifting the eighth World Series trophy in franchise history.
Ohtani, playing in his first-ever MLB postseason, has played well throughout the playoffs but is struggling in the World Series.
In 15 playoff games, he's hitting .246/.394/.421 with three home runs, 10 RBI and a 13-21 walk-to-strikeout ratio. In the World Series, his slash line dips to .133/.278/.200 with two hits, one double, two runs scored and a 2-4 walk-to-strikeout ratio.
Of course, Ohtani suffered a minor shoulder dislocation while he was caught stealing in Game 2, but he is still a key part of the Dodgers' lineup and is still batting first despite the injury.
Ahead of this potentially series-deciding Game 5, let's take a look at Shotime's player props, lines and odds.
