The Colorado Buffaloes have a tough matchup this weekend against No. 18 Kansas State, and the game projects to be a quarterback duel between K-State QB Avery Johnson and Buffs superstar Shedeur Sanders.
Sanders has led the Buffaloes to a 4-1 record, with the team's one loss coming against a talented Nebraska team in Week 2. But the upcoming game against Kansas State is Colorado's first game against a team that is ranked immediately heading into the contest.
Through five games, Sanders has completed 70.1 percent of his passes for 1,630 yards and a 14-3 TD-INT ratio. He has been limited to one TD pass just once this season, in the loss to Nebraska.
Sanders' top target has been Travis Hunter, the two-way star and Heisman Trophy second favorite (+350). Hunter has caught twice as many passes (46) and the next-closest Colorado WR, and he also leads the team with 561 receiving yards and six receiving TDs.
Colorado heavily leans in favor of passing on offense, and K-State has the 34th-worst pass defense out of 134 Division I teams in terms of passing yards allowed per game, as the Wildcats allow 244.2 passing yards per game.
Ahead of what could be a favorable matchup for Sanders, let's take a look at his odds.
