The Southeastern Conference has dominated college football over the last decade. What does the 2023/24 season have in store?
In fact, a team from the SEC has won the national title in six of the last nine seasons, including Georgia's second consecutive title in January.
The SEC as we know it will look a bit different to most fans when it welcomes Texas and Oklahoma and eliminates divisional alignment next season.
However, there is still plenty of excitement to be had this fall and numerous storylines to track heading into the 2023 season.
Georgia: -450
Tennessee: +500
Florida: +3000
South Carolina: +3000
Kentucky: +4000
Missouri: +5000
Vanderbilt +25000
Alabama: +100
LSU: +180
Texas A&M: +550
Mississippi: +2000
Auburn: +3000
Arkansas: +3000
Mississippi State: +5000
Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
Bowers was Georgia's top weapon in the passing game last season, and the same should be true in 2023.
The Bulldogs tight end is a matchup nightmare for opposing SEC defenders and he should be the focal point for Georgia's offense once again.
Harold Perkins, LB, LSU
After earning all-freshman honors last fall, the expectations are sky-high for Harold Perkins this season, and for good reason.
The LSU linebacker wreaked havoc on opposing offenses in 2022, and will look to improve on a campaign where he registered 8.5 sacks and forced four fumbles.
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Mississippi
Another one of college football's top freshmen a season ago was Quinsshon Judkins, who tallied 1,565 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2022.
Judkins should be a force in the backfield for Lane Kiffin's offense as Ole Miss looks to contend for an SEC West title.
Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama
McKinstry should be the leader in Alabama's secondary this season following a campaign where he allowed just one touchdown over 80 targets last season.
The Crimson Tide will face a host of good quarterbacks in the SEC so the cornerback will need to be on top of his game all season long.
KJ Jefferson, QB, Arkansas
KJ Jefferson was one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC a season ago, and he could seize the mantle of the conference's top quarterback with another strong campaign this fall.
With 33 total touchdowns in just 11 games in 2022, the Razorbacks should get a very productive season out of their signal-caller.
