The Seattle Seahawks booked their ticket to Super Bowl LX in 2026 by defeating the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship game.
The Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on February 8, 2026. We'll take a look at how they got there.
The Seattle Seahawks finished the 2024 season with a 10-7 record under their first-year head coach Mike Macdonald, but just missed out on the postseason.
Macdonald and the Seahawks then made a team altering decision in the offseason to move on from their rejuvenated QB Geno Smith via trade, and signed the Minnesota Vikings breakout QB Sam Darnold to a three-year, $100,500,000 contract.
They also decided to sign some aging veteran's in free agency, including WR Cooper Kupp, and DE DeMarcus Lawrence.
Those three names were the major additions to the team in the offseason, but they also traded their star WR DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers, meaning that their third-year WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba would see increased production throughout the regular season.

The Seahawks when with some core building blocks in the draft, but only two of their first round picks like like hits. fortunately for Seattle, Grey Zabel and Nick Emmanwori have been phenomenal picks.
The Seahawks began the 2025 regular season slowly, losing two of their first five games. They quickly turned it around however and finished with the best record in the NFC (14-3) and earned the No. 1 seed in the conference.
Sam Darnold was great in his first year with Mike Macdonald, and threw for 4,048 yards and 25 touchdowns. He did struggle throwing interceptions, and had 14 throughout the season which was the third most in the NFL.
Kenneth Walker III led the team in rushing with 1,027 yards, but Zach Charbonnet managed the goal line. Charbonnet led the team with 12 rushing touchdowns which was T-6th most in the NFL.
Darnold, Walker III, and Charbonnet were good this season, but the teams' best offensive player was by far Jaxon Smith-Njigba. JSN is the favorite to win the Offensive Player of the Year award after he led the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards. The third year receiver also found the endzone 10 times.
Macdonald's defense was also incredible across the board, but no player commanded the spotlight.
The defensive unit was nicknamed 'The Dark Side' and they could shut down the entire galaxy.
The dark side had the best defense in the NFL in terms of points allowed per game - giving up an average of 17.2 points.
LB Ernest Jones IV led the team with 126 tackles, and rookie safety Emmanwori was third with 81. Jones IV also led the team in interceptions with 5, and S Coby Bryant also picked off opposing QBs 4 times.
Three players were tied for the most sacks on the team with 7 - LB Uchenna Nwosu, DE Leonard Williams, and DT Byron Murphy II. Free agent signing DeMarcus Lawrence had 6, and forced the most fumbles on the team with 3.
The Seahawks have elevated their team with smart veteran signings that elevated other players on the team into stars. Combined, they have one of the best all-around rosters in the NFL.
