Saquon Barkley: Odds to Break NFL Rushing Record in 2025

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley became the ninth player to complete an NFL season with at least 2,000 rushing yards in 2024 on his way to helping the team win the Super Bowl.

Ahead of his second season in Philly, bet365 has Barkley priced at +2500 to break the single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards, set by Eric Dickerson in 1984.

This market can be found under the 'Player 2105+ Rushing Yards Regular Season' heading within the NFL Futures section of the sportsbook.

Barkley ended the 2024 season with 2,005 rushing yards in 16 games played. He had a shot to break the record in the 17th game of the season, but elected to sit out alongside the other Eagles starters so they could rest ahead of the playoffs.

Before signing with the Eagles as a free agent in the 2024 offseason, Barkley's career high in rushing yards was 1,312, which he set in 2022. In his first season with Philly, he posted career-bests of 5.8 yards per carry, 125.3 rushing yards per game, 3.8 yards before contact per carry, and a rushing success rate of 52.5%.

It remains to be seen whether Barkley can build upon last season's brilliance, or if the 28-year-old feels a little more tread on the tires because of that heavy workload.
