Saskatchewan and the BC Lions both finished the regular season with 10-8 records. The Roughriders have won two consecutive games to close out their campaign, entering the playoffs with strong momentum.
In contrast, the BC Lions have lost two straight matches heading into the postseason. Their 2025 MOP, Nathan Rourke, did not play in the final game, with Kaidon Salter and Chris Oladokun stepping in at quarterback instead.
Rourke will now go head-to-head with quarterback Trevor Harris, who is not afraid to push the ball downfield. Harris led the CFL with 5,370 passing yards, relying heavily on his top wide receiver, KeeSean Johnson.
During the regular season the Lions and Roughriders played three times, with BC winning the series 2-1.
