River Plate and Monterrey, powerhouses in Argentina and Mexico, respectively, face off in the Club World Cup group stage on Friday.
Monterrey held on for a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in their Club World Cup-opening game despite having just 38% of possession, while River beat Urawa Red Diamonds 3-1.
