After losing his WBA featherweight title last time out against Nick Ball in Saudi Arabia, Ford (-1200) has now moved up to the 130lbs super-featherweight limit and will look to make a statement against the twice-beaten Puerto Rican Gonzalez-Ruiz (+700).
I think this is a fight that will suit Ford’s skill-set, with his superior technical ability, hand and foot speed overwhelming Gonzalez-Ruiz. The question is whether or not Ford will become the first man to stop Gonzalez-Ruiz and, with the extra 4lbs working in his favor, I’m backing the American to make a splash - and a statement - in his first outing at 130lbs and Win by KO/TKO at +175.
Raymond Ford to Win By KO/TKO +175
