UFC bantamweight Raoni Barcelos has been discharged from the hospital, following a health scare at UFC Fight Night on Saturday, September 26, in Las Vegas.
During a takedown in the fifth-round against Raul Rosas Jr., 39-year-old Barcelos lost consciousnesses and was stretchered out of the Meta Apex and taken to a Level 1 trauma center for evaluation.
On Wednesday, September 30, it was announced that Raoni Barcelos was released from the hospital. "Discharged and with my family, I want to thank everyone for the love, prayers, and positive vibrations. God is our victory," Barcelos wrote on Instagram.
There is no timeline on when Barcelos will return, as he will take time to recover. Dana White does not expect Barcelos to return to the Octagon anytime soon, wanting Barcelos to focus on his health. When asked, he stated, "Not even thinking about that."
