One of the biggest games of the 2024 College Football season takes place when QBs Quinn Ewers and Carson Beck meet as the top-ranked Texas Longhorns host the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs.
Ewers entered the season as the +900 third-favorite to win the Heisman Trophy while Beck was the +800 second-favorite in the preseason. Now, Ewers is the +2000 eighth-favorite, and Beck has the seventh-shortest odds at +1400.
The two pocket passers were projected to be two of the top three quarterbacks taken in the 2025 NFL Draft entering this season, but neither player has fully convinced scouts that they are worthy of a high pick.
Ewers missed a pair of games due to an abdominal injury, and while highly-touted backup Arch Manning put in great performances in his absence, the more experienced signal-caller will be back under center for the Georgia game.
Ewers has completed 70.5 percent of his passes for 890 yards and a 9-3 TD-INT ratio in four games, and he left the Week 3 win over Texas-San Antonio with the aforementioned injury.
The second-year Longhorns starter has played two games against ranked opponents and won them both. He led Texas to a 31-12 Week 2 win over then-No. 10 reigning National Champion Michigan, and he led his team to a Red River Rivalry win over then-No. 18 Oklahoma by a 34-3 score this past weekend.
Ewers was solid but unspectacular against Oklahoma, which was his first start in just under a month. He completed 20/29 passes for 199 yards (6.9 yards per attempt) and threw one TD and one INT while also rushing for a score.
Ahead of a clash that will reveal a lot about the SEC landscape, this year's College Football Playoff picture, and the 2025 NFL Draft, let's take a look at Ewers' odds, lines and player props.
