Who will lift the Walter Cup for the Professional Women's Hockey League Championship in 2025?
Minnesota beat Boston in last year's championship to lift the inaugural edition of the trophy.
Ahead of the league's second season, all six teams got team names and identities after each franchise was known only by its location during the first year of play.
Let's take a look at the odds to win the 2025 PWHL Championship.
MIN Frost | +250 |
MON Victoire | +350 |
NY Sirens | +360 |
TOR Sceptres | +400 |
BOS Fleet | +650 |
OTT Charge | +800 |
The Minnesota Frost won the first-ever PWHL Championship, and they are the favorites to do it again at +250.
They're led by star players Claire Thompson, Kendall Coyne Schofield, Taylor Heise, Britta Curl-Salemme and goaltender Maddie Rooney.
The Montreal Victoire are second in the odds at +350, having finished 2023/24 in second place in the regular season standings. Goaltenders Ann-Renee Desbiens and Elaine Chuli have both been among the league's best throughout its short existence so far.
The New York Sirens are just behind at +360. They finished last in the standings in 2023/24 but star player Alex Carpenter finished tied for second in points with 23 from eight goals and 15 assists.
The Toronto Sceptres are fourth in the odds at +400. Toronto finished first in last year's regular season standings as Natalie Spooner finished first and Sarah Nurse finished joint-second in points, but they lost in four games to eventual champions Minnesota in the first round of the playoffs.
The teams with the longest odds in the outright market are the Boston Fleet at +650 and the Ottawa Charge at +800.
