American League rivals the Houston Astros and New York Yankees will meet on Saturday as both teams continue to ramp up for the 2025 MLB season.
The game will feature the Spring Training debut of Yankees star and reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge.
Judge was granted a week of rest to open the 2025 spring campaign, but will take the diamond on Saturday. The Yankees are coming off their first World Series appearance since 2009, which they lost four games to one to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Judge won his second American League MVP in 2024 behind another monster season, leading the MLB in home runs (58), RBI (144), OPS (1.159) and walks (133).
But the 32-year-old did not perform to his or anyone's expectations in the postseason, batting .184 with more strikeouts (20) than hits (9).
Can Judge and the Bronx Bombers rebound in 2025?
Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees will be broadcast locally on YES and Space City Home Network.
The game can be streamed using MLB.TV, which requires a paid subscription.
Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees will begin at 1:05 PM ET / 12:05 PM CT on Saturday, March 1 from George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida.
