Bucharest is set to take center stage in the Counter-Strike 2 scene as the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 kicks off on October 24, 2026.
The premier Tier 1 event brings together 16 of the globe's finest CS2 rosters to battle for a share of a massive $1.25 million prize pool, serving as a crucial proving ground just a month ahead of the Singapore Major.
The stacked lineup features heavyweight contenders including Team Spirit, Team Vitality, FURIA, MOUZ, G2 Esports, and Natus Vincere. A major storyline to watch will be the high-profile debut of Spanish sniper Álvaro "SunPayus" García under the FUT Esports banner.
Format
The competition is split into two distinct stages: a Swiss-system group phase followed by a single-elimination playoff bracket.
Group Stage (October 24–28): A 16-team Swiss system featuring best-of-three (Bo3) matches across all five rounds. Teams face opponents with identical win-loss records. Three wins secure a spot in the playoffs, while three losses result in elimination. Eight teams will advance.
Playoffs (October 29–31): An eight-team single-elimination bracket.
(October 29): Best-of-three (Bo3) Quarterfinals
(October 30): Best-of-three (Bo3) Semifinals
(October 31): Best-of-three (Bo3) Third-Place Decider
(October 31): Best-of-five (Bo5) Finals
