Just two tournaments remain of the PGA Tour regular season as the FedEx Cup standings come into sharper focus for those who sit outside the top 70 ahead of this week's event, the Rocket Classic.
This is the eighth and final edition of the event, which has taken place at Detroit Golf Club since 2019 but is set to drop off a revamped PGA Tour schedule next year after Rocket Companies decided not to renew their sponsorship deal.
This week and next week's Wyndham Championship have significant bearing on who will contest the FedEx Cup playoffs with last week's winner, the immensely talented 21-year-old Jackson Koivun, sitting in the 70th and final spot following his triumph at the 3M Open.
Koivun requires one more big week if he's to progress to the postseason, which starts with the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind, but there are no such issues for world No.3 Cameron Young, who tops the odds for the Rocket Classic.
A runner-up at The Open Championship earlier this month, Young is second in the FedEx Cup and guaranteed a spot at the season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake, but appears keen to stay sharp for the valuable events on the horizon.

Wyndham Clark to win (+2200)
The Rocket Classic field will tackle a restored Detroit Golf Club this week following renovations which the organizers hope will toughen up a layout that has proved to be at the mercy of PGA Tour professionals in the seven previous editions.
The green complexes have been restored closer to Donald Ross's original vision, while two of the four par-five holes have become par-fours, reducing the course to a total par of 70 from its previous par of 72.
Previous course form should still count for plenty, however, and that's a positive for Wyndham Clark, who finished 17th in the 2019 Rocket Classic and eighth in 2022, on both occasions when ranked outside the top 200 in the world.
Since then, Clark has established himself as a member of the PGA Tour elite, winning a second U.S. Open title last month and climbing to ninth place in the world rankings.
Clark missed the cut in The Open Championship when last seen, but that came a week after he'd contended in a weather-hit Scottish Open, and he wasn't the only one to struggle at Royal Birkdale after a long Sunday at The Renaissance Club.
His last four tournaments on US soil have yielded finishes of first, third, first and fifth, and two visits to another Ross design, East Lake Golf Club for the Tour Championship, have seen him finish third and eighth in 72-hole scoring.
Ryan Gerard to win (+3500)
Like Clark, Ryan Gerard does not have to worry about his FedEx Cup status but he would dearly love to cap the best year of his career with victory in Detroit.
Gerard started the 2026 PGA Tour season with back-to-back runner-up finishes at the Sony Open in Hawaii and the American Express, and he's found top form again in recent weeks, finishing second at the Memorial Tournament and ninth on his Open Championship debut.
He has always been an excellent ball-striker, and his improvement can be attributed to a much better year on the greens having jumped from 154th last year to 32nd for strokes-gained putting this season.
A cold putter held him back when 41st in this event 12 months ago, but he showed a real liking for the test that Detroit Golf Club presents from tee to green, suggesting he can get in the title hunt with a better putting display.
Jackson Suber to win (+6600)
There should also be more to come from Jackson Suber, who sits 80th on the FedEx Cup and needs to make a move over the next two weeks if he's to prolong what has already been a productive PGA Tour season.
Suber missed the cut at the 3M Open last week, but that came a week after he emerged as a surprise contender in the Open Championship, where he held the first-round lead and sat in a share of second through 36 holes before eventually fading to finish a respectable 28th on his tournament debut.
The 26-year-old Floridian was fourth at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, filled the same place at the Canadian Open, and finished sixth at the John Deere Classic.
He knows he can contend at this week's venue, where he was sixth on his debut last season.
