The No. 4 Penn State Nittany Lions hit the road for their first West Coast Big Ten game when they face the USC Trojans in Week 7.
Four schools on the West Coast joined the Big Ten this offseason - USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington - and this is Penn State's first time playing any of them on the road.
USC has played two away games in the conference, each took place in the Midwest, and the Trojans lost both. The first was a 27-24 defeat to then-No. 24 Michigan in Week 3, and the latest was a 24-17 loss to Minnesota last weekend.
Penn State has only played one away game in total so far this season, when they beat West Virginia 34-12 in their season opener. The team's marquee win was a 21-7 victory over then-No. 19 Illinois two weeks ago, and they beat UCLA in Pennsylvania last week.
Penn State vs. USC will be broadcast on CBS, which can be viewed through linear or cable TV and streamed with live TV streaming apps such as YouTubeTV or FuboTV.
Penn State vs. USC is scheduled to start at 3:30 PM ET/12:30 PM PT on Saturday, October 12 with the game taking place at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.
