Orlando Magic vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Game 7: Picks, Predictions, Odds and Player Props

The first round of the NBA playoffs wraps up on Sunday, with the Orlando Magic facing off with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the final spot in the Conference semi-finals.

This is the first Game 7 in the first round of the Eastern Conference since 2018 and it pits together two evenly-matched teams who have traded home wins over the last couple of weeks.

Will the young Magic build on winning three of the last four games in the series, or will the Cavaliers win the first play-off series in this new era?

Orlando Magic vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Game 7 betting picks and predictions

Orlando Magic +3 (-105)

The Cavs made a brilliant start to the series by taking Games 1 and 2, but the Magic bounced back incredibly well for such a young side. While they lack playoff experience, they clearly know what it takes to win games at this point in the year.

The Magic are limited in terms of the half-court offense but their scoring has ticked up since managing only 83 and 86 in their opening two games of the postseason.

Orlando have cracked 100 points in all four games since, while their much-praised defense has let the Cavs hit three figures in only one of the six games.

The Magic lost 104-103 in the last game in Cleveland and while the Cavs could continue that run of home wins, expect this to be a close game.

Take the Magic with three points on the spread, given that they have all the tools to make this at least competitive.

Wendell Carter Jr Over 7.5 Rebounds (-110)

Rebounds have been a key factor in this series, especially given how much of a weakness that was for the Cavs when they lost to the New York Knicks at this stage last year.

The Magic are a team with plenty of height and some tough players off the glass, but it’s taken the young group a little while to step up in that area.

Over the last two games, the Magic have shared rebounds around quite well. However, one player who stands out is Wendell Carter Jr, who has grabbed 20 boards across the last two games in this series.

The absence of Jarrett Allen has been a boost for the Magic center, but even if Allen returns he’s unlikely to be 100%.

The Cavs big man also picked up just 13 combined rebounds across the final three games of the series with the Knicks, admitting afterwards that his team were not ready for the pressure of the play-offs.

Given that, over 7.5 rebounds looks like a low line for the Magic’s center.

Jalen Suggs Over 12.5 Points (-125)

Suggs isn’t seen as a huge scorer and the guard does most of his best work on the defensive end, but he is capable of some very efficient nights.

The Cavs are a strong defensive team but their best defenders will focus on Wagner and Banchero, which has left Suggs open to make shots.

The point guard has cleared 12.5 points in three of the last four games in the series and his minutes have jumped since Game 5, playing 38 and 35 minutes in the last two encounters.

He’s twice topped 20 points in this series and he’s capable of scoring at least 13 at a time when the Magic need everything they can muster.
