United States 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Omari Jones is making his professional boxing debut in a six-round bout against Alessio Mastronunzio on March 1st.

Jones signed with promoter Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing shortly after winning bronze in the welterweight division in the summer of 2024.

The 22-year-old Orlando, Florida native had a 28-7 amateur record, per Amateur Boxing Champions, and he went 7-2 combined in the 2023 Pan-American Games and the 2024 Summer Olympics, per Tapology.

Veteran boxer Alessio Mastronunzio is set for just his second fight outside of Europe when he takes on Omari Jones.

The 30-year-old Italian is on a two-fight winning streak, having beaten Tiziano Barilotti and Mihail Burlac in 2024.

Mastronunzio began his professional career in 2019 and won his first five fights before losing to Stefano Ramundo in December 2020.

He then won four more fights before suffering his second loss in his first fight on American soil against Xander Zayas in December 2021. The Italian went 3-3 in his six fights after the loss to Zayas before winning his two most recent fights.
