Oklahoma Sooners and Georgia Bulldogs are set for an SEC showdown on Saturday afternoon at Samford Stadium in Athens, GA.
Georgia is ranked No. 2 in the country and is 3-0 overall with a 1-0 record in SEC play after beating Arkansas 45-17 last week.
On the other side, Oklahoma is unranked after a 2-1 start that includes a loss to Michigan and a narrow 14-6 win over New Mexico last week.
This is the 2026 SEC opener for the Sooners and will be the first-ever SEC meeting between these two teams.
With kick-off slated for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC, it's time to break down the odds and go over the best bets to make.
Oklahoma vs. Georgia betting picks and predictions
Georgia -13.5 (-110)
These offenses have looked very different to start the new season. The Bulldog offense is rolling, as they've put up 63, 70, and 45 points over their first three games.
Those 178 points are the most in the country and Georgia's 539 yards of total offense per game is good for fourth in the nation.
Perhaps the most jarring aspect of Georgia's offense so far this season is the fact that QB Gunner Stockton has more touchdown passes (9) than incompletions (7).
He has completed 38 of his 45 passing attempts on the season, which equates to a stellar completion percentage of 84.4%.
The Bulldogs' running game has also been elite. Georgia has accumulated 760 rushing yards and 7.3 yards per carry through three games and Nate Frazier leads the way with 202 yards and five touchdowns on 24 carries.
Oklahoma's defense will be Georgia's toughest test yet and it's possible the Sooners provide at least some resistance to, but will the Sooner offense have the firepower to keep up?
Oklahoma's offensive performances over the last two weeks have been lackluster to say the least.
The Sooners scored just 10 points in a 17-10 loss at Michigan in Week 2 and many expected a bounce back performance last week against New Mexico. That didn't happen, as Oklahoma scored just 14 points and looked out of whack all game long.
Once thought of as a Heisman contender, QB John Mateer has really struggled. He's already thrown three interceptions on the season and is averaging just 2.7 yards per carry as a rusher. Trying to figure things out on the road against Georgia is not an ideal situation to be in.
Look for the Georgia offense to be too overpowering, while the Bulldogs' defense keeps making life difficult for Mateer and the Sooners - back Georgia -13.5.
Under 44.5 (-110)
If Oklahoma figures to have any chance of pulling off the upset, the defense will have to be elite. Despite their offensive shortcomings, the Sooners' defense has kept them in games and have allowed just 24 total points through three games.
Brent Venables is among the best defensive minds in all of college football and he should have an effective game plan in place to limit Georgia at least a little bit.
This will be Georgia's toughest test yet, so it’s likely the offense isn't as powerful as it's been up to this point in the young season.
As previously mentioned, the Oklahoma offense is in a major rut. Mateer has not looked comfortable in the pocket and has struggled with accuracy.
The running game has also been unreliable and averaged a measly 1.9 yards per carry against New Mexico last week.
If New Mexico can give the Sooners fits, Georgia should be able to as well, so look to the under.
John Mateer over 31.5 pass attempts (-120)
As 13.5-point underdogs, it's possible that Oklahoma is playing from behind throughout this contest.
In that scenario, Mateer could rack up the passing attempts. That's what happened two weeks ago against Michigan, as Matter threw 33 times in a 17-10 loss in Ann Arbor.
He cleared this number in seven of 12 games last season and, given his struggles with accuracy over the last two weeks, he could have some trouble finding efficiency.
That formula could lead to him meeting or exceeding his 33 pass attempts from two weeks ago.
