The latest betting pick, predictions, odds and player props for Edmonton Oilers vs. Los Angeles Kings Game 2, courtesy of our friends at Daily Faceoff.
This is the fourth consecutive season the Oilers and Kings have matched up in the first round of the playoffs, and the series opener didn’t disappoint with fireworks throughout. Los Angeles built a commanding 4-0 lead late in the second period of Game 1, but the Oilers, who have no shortage of firepower with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl leading the charge, stormed back to score five of the next six goals before Phillip Danault broke their hearts with a goal in the final minute of regulation time to seal the victory for Los Angeles.
The Kings have lost three straight first-round series to the Oilers, but this is the first time they’ve had home advantage in a series with Edmonton in that span. That’s important because the Kings were dominant on home ice this season, posting an incredible 31-6-4 record at Crypto.com Arena.
Despite the loss in Game 1, it’s very apparent the Oilers will have serious momentum heading into Game 2 on Wednesday night after their late offensive outburst to make things interesting. This series looks destined to go seven games, and it’s hard to imagine the Oilers going down 2-0 with the series heading back to Edmonton for Game 3. At plus money, it’s hard not to like the Oilers’ chances of eking out a victory in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
