Ohio State vs. Oregon: How to watch College Football Playoff quarterfinal, TV channel, streaming, start time & stats
Rusty Gorelick
The No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes (11-2) take on the No. 1 Oregon Ducks (13-0), and this rematch of a regular-season game is taking place in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff.
Oregon took down their Big Ten rivals by a 32-31 score in mid-October, sending a message to the rest of the conference - and the rest of the nation - in the process. That game showed the Ducks were indeed ready to face elite competition in their first season in the conference.
That loss was the only one on Ohio State's record for a while, and the teams were set to square off in the Big Ten title game until the Buckeyes lost at home to fierce rivals Michigan by a 13-10 score in the final week of the regular season.
That knocked Ohio State out of the conference championship game, but they did bounce back in the first round of the CFP with a 42-17 win over Tennessee. As Big Ten champions, undefeated Oregon got a first-round bye.
