The College Football Playoff has expanded from four to 12 teams for the 2024 season, and dozens of schools will feel they have a shot to break into the playoff bracket for a shot at the national championship.
In the 10-year history of the four-team CFP, just 15 different teams were selected, so the expanded edition is expected to feature some first-time participants.
