The Mike Elko era gets underway in College Station as the Texas A&M Aggies host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Week 1 of the 2024 College Football season.

Texas A&M enters the season ranked 20th in the AP Poll, while Notre Dame is ranked seventh.

The Aggies bring back starting QB Conner Weigman, who missed all but four games last season due to injury. The team also brought in plenty of transfers with experience in major conferences.

The Fighting Irish have a new QB in Riley Leonard, who is familiar with A&M coach Elko after playing for him at Duke. The team brings back Xavier Watts, who had seven interceptions last season, and Jordan Botelho, who finished second on the team with 4.0 sacks last season.
