Minnesota, entering its eighth season under head coach P.J. Fleck, recorded just six wins in 2023, its lowest total (excluding shortened COVID year) since Fleck’s first season in 2017. The Golden Gophers welcome in New Hampshire transfer Max Brosmer as their new quarterback in 2024.

These two teams met last season in Week 3, a game UNC won, 31-13.
