The 2024 NFL season is just around the corner and it's time to evaluate the star wide receivers around the league.
The league has arguably the greatest collection of pass-catching talent in its history, so before the season starts, let’s take a look at some of the players who are going to make the biggest impact on offense.
Here are our wide receiver Power Rankings before Week 1.
When healthy, he’s the best receiver in the game. Justin Jefferson dealt with a hamstring issue that kept him out for 7 games in 2023, but he still had over 1,000 receiving yards.
The Miami offense is dangerous and it’s headlined by Tyreek Hill. Arguably the fastest player in football had a career year in 2023 is expected to put up similar numbers in 2024.
The Cowboys failed to reach expectations last year, however, CeeDee Lamb was nothing short of incredible with 135 receptions for over 1,700 yards and 12 touchdowns.
It was a down year for Ja'Marr Chase and the Bengals after Joe Burrow got injured in Week 11, but with the franchise quarterback under center in 2024, it should be a bounce-back year for the LSU duo.
It was a career season for Amon-Ra St. Brown who led the Lions into the NFC Championship Game. With even higher expectations for Detroit this year, St. Brown will once again be a key piece of the offense.
The Raiders quarterback job was a revolving door last season as Davante Adams had Jimmy Garoppolo, Brian Hoyer, and Aiden O’Connell throwing passes to him. There should be some more certainty this year as O’Connell should get most of the reps.
Jalen Hurts’ favorite target had a phenomenal 2023 campaign. A.J. Brown finished with over 100 receptions and nearly 1,500 yards and should be the primary focus of the offense again in 2024.
After a historic 2021 season, injuries have gotten to Cooper Kupp. Last season it was his hamstring and ankle that sidelined him for several weeks, but when healthy, he’s elite.
The 49ers' deep threat has become one of the best receivers in the game, however, Brandon Aiyuk may not suit up for the Niners in 2024. After requesting a trade, he is being shopped and could find a new home in Pittsburgh or Cleveland.
If Aiyuk leaves, there will be a lot more responsibility on the shoulders of Deebo Samuel. He’s one of the most valuable players in the game because of his ability to be an elite receiver and also a speedy running back.
Mike Evans can be summarized in one word: consistency. He has recorded 1,000 receiving yards in every season of his 10-year career and his connection with Baker Mayfield could continue that trend.
Keenen Allen was part of a blockbuster trade in the offseason that sent him from the Chargers to the Bears. His presence should make life much easier on rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
Another blockbuster trade that happened this offseason was the Bills sending Stefon Diggs to the Texans. He struggled in 2023 and might have worn out his welcome in Buffalo, so he gets a fresh start in a dynamic Houston offense.
Caleb Williams is going to have plenty of talent around him. Besides the newly acquired Keenen Allen, he will also have D.J. Moore, who was the star of Chicago’s 2023 season.
The Rams somehow lucked out by getting a Cooper Kupp 2.0 last season. Puka Nacua burst on to the scene and set numerous rookie records and even remained a critical part of the offense when Kupp returned from injury.
The Texans' offense is going to be very, very scary. CJ Stroud had a breakout rookie season and formed an instant connection with Tank Dell and Nico Collins.
Collins became the #1 option when Dell got injured, so expect him to have another huge role in the offense in 2024.
