What | Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers |
Where | Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI |
When | 8:15 PM ET, Thursday, September 28th |
How to watch | Amazon Prime |
Odds | Lions -1.5, Packers +105 ML |
After three years of sitting on the bench behind Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love finally got to experience what it is like to be the Packers’ starting QB at Lambeau Field in Green Bay's Week 3 win over the New Orleans Saints, 18-17.
It was an uncomfortable experience for the first three quarters but Love leapt into action to lead Green Bay to an improbable win on the back of 18 straight fourth-quarter points.
The parallels with Brett Favre’s breakout game in 1994 are remarkable, but Love must now back it up against a dangerous division rival in the visiting Lions this week.
Detroit (2-1) recorded seven sacks in their 20-6 win over the previously unbeaten Atlanta Falcons on Sunday and will come after Love, who is playing behind a dinged-up offensive line.
Something has got to give because Green Bay (2-1) have covered in almost 65% of their home games since Matt LaFleur became the Packers head coach in 2019 while the Lions are 11-7 ATS on the road under Dan Campbell.
What | Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills |
Where | Highmark Stadium , Orchard Park, NY |
When | 1 PM, Sunday, October 1st |
How to watch | CBS, Paramount + |
Odds | Dolphins +125 ML, Bills -2.5 |
This should be one of the most-watched games after Miami’s mesmeric performance in putting 70 points on the Denver Broncos last Sunday.
It won’t quite be ‘Tua in the tundra’ with the game-time temperature in Buffalo set to be a relatively balmy 74°F, but it will be interesting to see if Tagovailoa and the Dolphins offense stay hot against a tough defense that recorded nine sacks against the Washington Commanders while still missing Von Miller.
A high-scoring contest seems likely with the total sitting at 53.5, which is the largest on the Week 4 slate. Miami (3-0) will hope wide receiver Jaylen Waddle returns from concussion protocol in time to face the Bills, who have won 11 of the past 13 games against their division rivals.
Buffalo (2-1) were brilliant on both sides of the ball and came close to recording a 37-0 shutout against the Commanders on Sunday.
What | New England Patriots @ Dallas Cowboys |
Where | AT&T Stadium , Arlington, TX |
When | 4:25 PM ET, Sunday, October 1st |
How to watch | Fox |
Odds | Patriots +235 ML, Cowboys -6.5 |
The Cowboys (1-2) are looking to rebound from an upset loss to the Arizona Cardinals, who were a double-digit home underdog on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Patriots (1-2) picked up their first win over the hapless New York Jets to inject some momentum into their as-yet stuttering campaign.
Bill Belichick raised some eyebrows in the league when he signed former Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott in the offseason. The 28-year-old appeared to have lost some of the pop that made him one of the NFL's best rushers since he was drafted in 2016, but his reliability helped New England grind out a 15-10 win at MetLife Stadium last Sunday.
His return to his former home will be among the top headlines this weekend.
