Time is running out in the regular season, meaning even more is riding on Saturday’s showdown between a pair of AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The two teams go head-to-head at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore with the Steelers looking to bounce back after a 27-13 road defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles last time out.
Baltimore head into this one on the back of a 35-14 win over the New York Giants but they will face a much sterner test this weekend against a Steelers team that won their last meeting 18-16 in Pittsburgh back in Week 11.
Revenge will be a motivator for the hosts in what should be another tight contest in Maryland.
With so much riding on Saturday’s encounter, both teams might be a bit more conservative to their approach to this game in a bid to grind it out before deciding things in the late stages of the final quarter.
While a winner for this one is tough to call, with the 10-4 Steelers currently topping the AFC North and 9-5 Ravens hot their heels, looking to the total points market looks to be the way to go in this one.
Games between these rivals tend to be low-scoring affairs and going for Under 45.5 total points would have landed in all of the last eight meetings between these rivals.
As so much rests on this game in the playoff picture, it’s hard to see either side cutting loose and piling on the points in Saturday’s showdown.
With that in mind, expect the trend to continue and side with Under 45.5 total points in Baltimore.
While a low-scoring game is expected in this one, that’s not to say there can’t be any touchdowns to look forward to.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is enjoying another excellent campaign and goes into this game on the back of throwing five touchdown passes against the Giants.
While Jackson will be a danger through the air once again on Saturday, it’s running back Derrick Henry who could provide the opening touchdown of the game on the ground.
The formidable back already has an impressive 13 touchdowns to his name this season and it was Henry who scored the opening touchdown of the game the last time these teams met in Week 11.
With a price of +300 to repeat the feat on Saturday, Henry is good value to go for that opening touchdown again this weekend.
With 891 rushing yards and five touchdowns to his name, it’s Najee Harris who is the primary rushing threat for the Steelers.
Quarterback Russell Wilson has been earning praise since becoming the first-choice signal-caller in Pittsburgh this season but the veteran has been helped by having a weapon like Harris by his side.
Already posting some good numbers this season, it would be little surprise to see Harris add to his touchdown tally against the Ravens in this one.
