There is less hype around the Jets this season compared to 2023, and even their biggest backers will have been disappointed with Monday's display against the 49ers.

Robert Saleh's plans for the 2023 Jets were ruined after just four offensive plays when Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury against the Buffalo Bills.

The Jets finished 7-10 in 2023, but after bolstering their offensive line and retaining the majority of their key pieces on defense, they were expected to push the 49ers in Santa Clara. After conceding the first points, the Jets did respond with a brilliant drive and touchdown of their own, but ultimately they were second-best for most of Monday's matchup.

After a few days to work on what went wrong, the Jets should be able to battle past the Titans. Rodgers will have scraped off some rust after a year on the sidelines, and the defense cannot perform any worse than they did on Monday.

Under 41.0 points (-110)

The Jets are back in action after less than a week, and that is far from ideal.

While some members of their squad will want to put things right at the first opportunity, fatigue may play its part in the latter stages.

The Titans only posted 17 points against the Bears, and they are a team still trying to prosper with Will Levis under center.

Even though Rodgers should improve, the Jets' offensive line has yet to settle, while new receiver Mike Williams is having his rep count monitored.

That leaves Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall as Rodgers' top two targets, and while the pair have bags of potential, they are unlikely to score a tonne of points on their own, with the Titans able to double-team them on occasions.

Tony Pollard Over 50.5 rushing yards (-115)

The Jets were torn apart by the 49ers offense on the ground, with Jordan Mason running for 147 yards in a superb display.

Saleh's team looked helpless at times against the run, but the Jets head coach has vowed he can fix those issues easily.

Actions speak louder than words, though, in the NFL, and Titans running back Pollard made a fine debut for Tennessee last week and will expect to build on that in Week 2.

He gained 82 yards from 16 carries and scored a touchdown against the Bears, and the veteran should be able to cover the 50.5 line this week.
