The Los Angeles Rams travel to Chicago on Sunday to face the Bears after producing a major upset of Week 3 of the NFL season by beating the San Francisco 49ers.
Sean McVay's team have suffered an injury-hit start to the season with star receiving duo Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua both sidelined, but they posted their first win against the defending NFC champions after opening with road losses to the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals.
The Bears are also 1-2 for the season but while they overcame a 17-0 deficit to beat the Titans in Week 1, they have since suffered back-to-back away losses against the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts.
The Rams' season looked to be in big trouble when they sat at 0-2 with their biggest offensive stars out of action, but last week's home win over the 49ers will have provided a great boost for their confidence.
The LA squad faced a hostile atmosphere in their own stadium from the hordes of Niners fans and trailed 21-7 in the third quarter after a hat-trick of touchdowns from San Francisco wide receiver Jauan Jennings.
The Rams didn't throw in the towel, though, and running back Kyren Williams completed his own trio of scores to help his team to a 27-24 win.
Good coaching can take you a long way in the league and the matchup of McVay and Chicago's Matt Eberflus, who has an 11-26 record as head coach of the Bears, is pretty one-sided.
The Bears have been competitive in their losses to AFC South pair Houston and Indianapolis over the last two weeks, but rookie quarterback Caleb Williams threw four interceptions combined in those games and could feel the pressure in front of an impatient home crowd.
McVay has had another week to think of ways of being successful with his depleted group of wide receivers.
Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington and Tyler Johnson won't have been drafted by many fantasy managers at the start of the season, but they were able to combine for 173 receiving yards against the 49ers and should be able to help experienced quarterback Matt Stafford to keep the chains moving.
The Bears got five of their seven wins last season at home and sent the fans home happy with their comeback to beat the Titans in Week 1, but at the available odds the Rams look the better value as underdogs on the money line.
The Bears have also had to make changes to their offense due to injuries this season, with veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen missing the last two games due to a heel issue.
The former Chargers star is on track to return this week but that shouldn't stop the Bears from benefiting from changes they made in his absence.
Tight end Cole Kmet had an extremely quiet start to the season with just one catch for four yards against the Titans but he has formed a blossoming partnership with QB Caleb Williams over the last two weeks.
Kmet had four catches for 25 yards against the Texans and then exploded by snaring 10 of his 11 targets for 97 yards and a TD against the Colts.
The Bears aren't likely to ignore that kind of relationship even though Allen could be back to work alongside DJ Moore and rookie Rome Odunze this week.
Rookie quarterbacks often learn to rely on the security blanket offered by a reliable tight end and more targets should follow for Kmet. He looks overpriced at +1000 odds to be his team's first touchdown scorer against the Rams after catching a six-yard scoring pass from Williams against the Colts.
