2023/24 NFL season: Notable player injuries

Track the latest player injuries throughout the 2023/24 NFL season.

Aaron Rodgers, QB - New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers will miss the entire season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in the Jets Week 1 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Rodgers only attempted one pass as a Jet before he was injured while being sacked.

Kyler Murray, QB - Arizona Cardinals

One of the biggest injuries heading into the new season is that of Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray.

The Cardinals quarterback is coming off a torn ACL from last December and is on the physically unable to perform list (PUP). This means Murray will miss the first four weeks of the season.

If Arizona starts the season poorly with their backup quarterbacks, there is a chance they would consider shutting Murray down for the full season with the hopes of tanking for the first overall pick.

Cooper Kupp, WR - Los Angeles Rams

Cooper Kupp missed about half of last season with a high ankle sprain and was on pace to be ready for Week 1 of this season. However, recently Kupp suffered a setback on his hamstring, the same injury that kept him out of parts of the Rams' training camp.

His status for Week 1 is still unclear at this time, though it is likely that he will be held out for at least Week 1 and possibly more to ensure that he is 100% for the remainder of the season.

Von Miller, Edge - Buffalo Bills

Von Miller is still recovering from a torn ACL from last season, and he is on the PUP list. He is going to miss at least four games, but there is also a chance that the Bills will hold Miller out longer to ensure he is fully recovered for later in the season and the playoffs.

Jalen Ramsey, CB - Miami Dolphins

Jalen Ramsey went through a complete meniscus surgery back in July of this year and will need significant time to recover. There is no possibility that he will be ready for Week 1, with the most likely return date set months from now in December.

Marlon Humphrey, CB - Baltimore Ravens

Marlon Humphrey is going to miss at least a few weeks for the Baltimore Ravens as he went through a surgery on his foot a few weeks ago. Because Humphrey was not placed on the Injured Reserve list, he is eligible to return before Week 5.

Jonathan Taylor, RB - Indianapolis Colts

Jonathan Taylor is dealing with an ankle injury that made him miss time last season, but more importantly, the biggest news has been the contract disagreement.

He is still on the PUP list as of Week 3.

Nick Chubb, RB - Cleveland Browns

Nick Chubb suffered a gruesome knee injury in the Cleveland Browns' Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football. It was the same knee he injured while at the University of Georgia in 2016, and he will miss the rest of the season after being added to the injured reserve list.

JK Dobbins, RB - Baltimore Ravens

JK Dobbins suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the Baltimore Ravens season opener against the Houston Texans, adding to the list of injured running backs across the NFL.

Mike Williams, WR - Los Angeles Chargers

Mike Williams suffered a torn ACL in the third quarter of the Los Angeles Chargers’ Week 3 win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Williams will miss the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
