The New York Jets have a pair of new faces in charge in general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn, and they'll decide who to select with their seventh-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
There are plenty of positions that the Jets need to upgrade on their roster after going 5-12 in 2024. The Jets were among the worst rushing offenses in the league, and they struggled to make game-changing plays on defense.
Here, we'll take a look at the odds for the player to be selected with the No. 7 pick in the 2025 draft.
Armand Membou | +150 |
Tyler Warren | +300 |
Jahdae Barron | +700 |
Jalon Walker | +700 |
Kelvin Banks Jr. | +700 |
Mason Graham | +800 |
Shedeur Sanders | +1100 |
Will Campbell | +1400 |
Tetairoa McMillan | +1600 |
Ashton Jeanty | +1800 |
Former Missouri Tigers offensive tackle Armand Membou (+150) is the favorite to be picked seventh overall in the 2025 draft.
Membou, who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 314 pounds, allowed a total of just three sacks and 23 QB hurries in his 35 games played across three seasons at Mizzou, and he had a 90.6 overall grade, per Pro Football Focus. The Jets were in the bottom 10 in the NFL in pocket time allowed in 2024, but they allowed the 10th-fewest hurries with 38 in 17 games.
Former Penn State do-it-all tight end Tyler Warren (+300) is the second favorite to go seventh overall.
Warren caught 104 passes for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns, rushed 26 times for 218 yards and four scores, and completed 3/6 passes for 35 yards and a TD. He would be something of an offensive Swiss Army knife for the Jets, who could use a dynamic presence alongside new QB Justin Fields.
Three players are tied for the third-shortest odds at +700: Texas CB Jahdae Barron, Georgia LB/edge Jalon Walker, and Texas OT Kelvin Banks Jr.
Barron led the SEC with five interceptions in 2024, and he had 11 passes defended, 67 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack in 16 games last season. He allowed a passer rating of just 34.2, per PFF, and allowed just 284 yards and no TDs on 37 receptions allowed.
Walker, a versatile player who can impact games in multiple ways, posted 60 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, two passes defended, and 11 tackles for loss in 2024. He missed just nine tackles in 42 career games.
Banks allowed just four sacks, four QB hits, and 26 QB hurries in 43 career games as a three-year starter for the Longhorns. He played his entire collegiate career at left tackle.
Michigan DT Mason Graham is the last player with odds shorter than 10/1 to be drafted seventh overall. In 39 career games, he had 12 sacks, 47 QB hurries, and 17 QB hits while helping his team win the 2023 National Championship.
Further back in the odds, between 11/1 and 30/1, are Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, LSU OT Will Campbell, Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan, Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty, Ohio State OT Josh Simmons, and Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams.
