The Las Vegas Raiders, under a new regime led by general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll, hold the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
After a season with Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell splitting time under center, Vegas answered its quarterback question when it traded for Geno Smith and signed him to a contract extension.
Now, the question is whether the Raiders will use their first-round pick to draft an eventual successor for Smith or to find instant-impact talent to get the best out of the new QB.
Here, we'll take a look at the odds for the player to be selected with the No. 6 pick in the 2025 draft.
Ashton Jeanty | +110 |
Armand Membou | +350 |
Jalon Walker | +650 |
Mason Graham | +900 |
Will Johnson | +900 |
Kelvin Banks Jr. | +1600 |
Shedeur Sanders | +2000 |
Tetairoa McMillan | +2000 |
Will Campbell | +2500 |
Ashton Jeanty, the former Boise State running back who finished second in 2024 Heisman Trophy voting, is the favorite to be selected with the No. 6 overall pick.
Jeanty (+110) led all Division I Football players in rushing attempts (374) and rushing yards (2,601), and he also posted 30 total touchdowns in 14 games. The workhorse back would take pressure off Smith and could open things up down the field by forcing opponents to stack the box.
Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou (+350) is the second-favorite to be drafted sixth overall. The Raiders allowed the 11th-highest pressure rate (23.1 percent) in the NFL in 2024, and with Membou only allowing three sacks and 23 hurries in 35 career games, he could be a fixture on their O-line for years to come.
Third in the odds is Georgia linebacker/edge rusher Jalon Walker (+650). Walker made 60 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, defended two passes, and recovered a pair of fumbles in 14 games last season. In 43 career games, he made 12.5 sacks and 19 tackles for loss.
Tied for fifth in the betting to be drafted sixth overall are a pair of former Michigan Wolverines who helped the team win the 2023 National Championship, defensive tackle Mason Graham and cornerback Will Johnson (+900).
Graham, a unanimous 2024 All-American selection, made 45 total tackles with seven tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in 2024. For his career, he had 108 tackles, 9.0 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 39 games.
Johnson was limited to six games in 2024 due to injury, but he had two interceptions and took both back for touchdowns. He also defended three passes and had 14 total tackles, 12 of which were solo tackles. In his 32-game career, he had nine interceptions and 10 passes defended.
Further back in the odds, between 16/1 and 40/1, are Texas OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan, LSU OT Will Campbell, and Texas DB Jahdae Barron.
