The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the No. 5 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and with substantial needs on both sides of the ball, there are a few players among the favorites to be selected here.
The Jags hired James Gladsone as their new general manager and Liam Coen as their new head coach this offseason. Coen is known for his offensive aptitude, but Gladstone just finished an eight-year tenure with the Los Angeles Rams, who won the championship with a couple of superstars on the defensive side of the ball.
Here, we'll take a look at the odds for the player to be selected with the No. 5 pick in the 2025 draft.
Ashton Jeanty | +175 |
Mason Graham | +175 |
Tetairoa McMillan | +300 |
Jalon Walker | +750 |
Armand Membou | +900 |
Tyler Warren | +2000 |
Will Campbell | +3300 |
Former Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty and former Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham are the +175 co-favorites to be selected fifth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Jeanty would be a plug-and-play, every-down back as soon as he arrives back in Jacksonville, his hometown. The RB would also provide a much-needed threat in the backfield for the Jags, who haven't seen their rushing offense rank in the league's top half since 2022, QB Trevor Lawrence's best professional season.
For Graham's case to be selected by the Jags, Gladstone knows the importance of a dominant DT: Aaron Donald was the Rams' best player throughout much of the new Jags GM's tenure in LA. Graham was a unanimous All-American in 2024 with 3.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss, and he had 47 QB hurries in 39 career games.
Next in the betting is former Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (+300). At 6-foot-5, he is built like a prototypical No. 1 WR, and he could be the guy to help Lawrence finally reach his potential. McMillan caught 84 passes for 1,319 yards and eight TDs in 2024.
Jalon Walker (+750), the former Georgia Bulldogs LB/edge rusher, is fourth in the market. A versatile player who can disrupt opposing offenses in multiple ways, Walker had 6.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, two passes defended, and two fumble recoveries last season. The Jags allowed the joint-fifth-most points last season, so they could use a defensive playmaker.
Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou (+900) has the fifth-shortest odds to be drafted fifth overall. An upgrade on the line would be a benefit to QB Trevor Lawrence, who averaged 2.4 seconds of pocket time — about the league average — last season. Giving the QB more time could help him get back to his best.
Further back in the odds, between 20/1 and 50/1, are Penn State TE Tyler Warren, LSU OT Will Campbell, Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, Michigan CB Will Johnson, Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter, Texas defensive back Jahdae Barron, and Colorado CB/WR Travis Hunter.
