The New York Giants have the third-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after a 3-14 season.
The G-Men signed free-agent quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in the offseason, but the franchise still needs to find its QB of the future. Plus, there are a few other areas the team needs to upgrade and general manager Joe Schoen said he "wouldn't force" the selection of a QB at No. 3.
Here, we have the latest odds for the player to be selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Abdul Carter | -550 |
Shedeur Sanders | +500 |
Travis Hunter | +500 |
Ashton Jeanty | +6000 |
Jaxson Dart | +6000 |
Former Penn State linebacker/edge rusher Abdul Carter (-550) is the favorite to be picked third overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Carter won the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2024 and was named an All-American. The third-year player had 12.0 sacks and a Division I-best 24 tackles for loss, and he would form a strong pass rush duo with Kayvon Thibodeaux.
QB Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy-winning CB/WR Travis Hunter, former Colorado Buffaloes teammates, are tied for second at +500 in the market to be drafted third overall.
Sanders led all Division I QBs in completion percentage at 74.0 percent, and he threw for Big 12-high marks of 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns to just 10 interceptions.
Hunter led his team in receptions, receiving yards, total touchdowns, interceptions and passes defended in the 2024 season. It's unlikely he'll start on both sides of the ball in the NFL as he did in college, but he can start full-time on one side and be a situational player on the other. Either way, he projects as a top-level talent at either position.
Former Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty and Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart are tied for fourth at +6000 in the betting.
In 2024, Dart completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 4,279 yards, both of which led the SEC, and had a 29-6 TD-INT ratio.
Jeanty rushed 374 times for 2,601 yards — both of which led the nation — and scored 30 total TDs in 14 games en route to a second-place finish in Heisman voting.
Following Dart and Jeanty are 14 players tied at +10000 odds. Those players include presumed No. 1 pick Cam Ward, LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell, Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan, and Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce Jr.
