The Cleveland Browns currently hold the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
After a 3-14 season in 2025, there is a lot this franchise needs to improve.
Here, we have the latest odds for the player to be selected with the second-overall pick in the 2025 draft.
Travis Hunter | -800 |
Abdul Carter | +475 |
Shedeur Sanders | +1500 |
Cameron Ward | +5000 |
Jaxson Dart | +7500 |
With just a few days remaining until the 2025 draft, former Colorado Buffaloes CB/WR and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter (-800) is the heavy favorite to be picked second overall.
Hunter led his team in receptions, receiving yards, total touchdowns, interceptions, and passes defended in the 2024 season. While he is unlikely to play full-time on both sides of the ball in the NFL like he did in college, he would probably start on one side while being a situational piece on the other.
With the Browns holding the second-overall pick, Hunter would slot in as the team's No. 1 WR or as part of a lockdown CB duo with 2024 Pro Bowler Denzel Ward.
Former Penn State linebacker and edge rusher Abdul Carter (+475) is the second favorite to be selected second overall.
Assuming Cleveland holds onto the pick, the selection of Carter would give the team one of the most fearsome edge rusher partnerships in the NFL. Browns four-time All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett just signed a huge contract extension, and Carter posted 12.0 sacks and a Division I College Football-best 24 tackles for loss in the 2024 season.
Shedeur Sanders (+1500), the former Colorado QB, is third in the odds to be picked second in the draft.
He is the consensus No. 2-ranked QB in the draft, but his stock has wavered in the pre-draft process. He put up strong numbers in his final collegiate season, leading the country in completion percentage (74.0 percent) and leading the Big 12 with 4,134 passing yards and 37 touchdowns. And, Cleveland could use a new face under center after Deshaun Watson re-tore his Achilles tendon this offseason.
Further back in the market with the fourth-shortest odds is Cameron Ward (+5000), who is the favorite to be picked first overall. The former Miami Hurricanes QB completed 67.2 percent of his passes for 4,313 yards and a 39-7 TD-INT ratio last season, and his 39 TDs were the most in the country.
Next in the market and the last player with odds shorter than 100/1 is former Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart (+7500). While leading his team to a 10-3 record, Dart completed an SEC-best 69.3 percent of his passes for 4,279 yards, another SEC-high mark. His 10.8 yards per pass attempt and 180.7 passer efficiency rating were the best in the nation.
Nine players, all tied at +10000, follow Dart in the market. Those players include Texas QB Quinn Ewers, Michigan DTs Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, and Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty.
