The New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies meet in the NLDS for a clash of longtime NL East rivals.

These teams had opposite fortunes on either side of the All-Star Break.

The Phillies went 62-34 for the best record in the league in the first half while the Mets were three games over .500. After the break, Philly went 33-33. The Mets went 40-27, including 17-9 in September.
