The NBA offseason is officially in full swing.
And the Golden State Warriors might be a superteam again.
12x NBA All-Star Chris Paul will team up with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in the Bay Area, as the Warriors agreed to a shock trade Thursday afternoon to send Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards in exchange for the veteran point guard.

Paul was traded to Washington in a deal that sent Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns last Sunday. Four days later, CP3 is a Warrior.
Golden State is +750 to win the 2023/24 NBA Championship, having been +1000 prior to the trade.

Paul stated he was "surprised" by his trade away from Phoenix, per the New York Times.
"It's tough," Paul said. "Seriously, it is part of the business, and what you realize is that no one owes you anything. No matter how you are with them or what you do, you realize that in this business, nobody owes you anything, as it should be."
It was likely Paul would never suit up for the Wizards, and instead be traded to a contending team. The Warriors are coming off their first playoff series loss to a Western Conference team since 2014, falling 4-2 to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round.
There is also some ambiguity around the future of 4x NBA champion with the Warriors Draymond Green, who declined his $27.5M player option to become an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.
